Already we are on day four of our Camp!
Christian provided a reflective start to the day with a morning devotion on ‘Inner Peace and Peace Through Christ’. Inner peace stems from the power of our relationship with God, and more specifically our trust in him. By trusting in God we can experience His peace.
We heard today that Mac Mwale’s and Moffat Banda’s Grandmother, Pholire Mwale, has died. It was very sad to lose members of the band so late in the Camp and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their family at this difficult time.
Charles Chimimba, Territorial Band Master, spoke words of encouragement to the Bands and Songsters before they continued to practice their pieces so that they are ready and have confidence to deliver their best for Sunday’s Worship and Concert.
As well as leading workshops and helping in band rehearsals, Monika Meier also continued her good work in repairing a number of brass instruments.
Rehearsals and workshops continued during the day in readiness for tomorrow.
In these two pictures you can see Joseph Lanken leading ‘Ndintama Mbuye Kosalekeza’ and Lt Alfred Manyamba leading ‘Timuimbile Timuimbile Inu Ambuye’.
In the songster piece, ‘I feel like praisin’ Him!’, we have two vocal soloists which have been chosen to sing tomorrow: Enipher Matias and Jonathan Mwepesa.
Tonight we all enjoyed the Camp talent night. We were brilliantly entertained by choirs, solo artists, dancers and brass band.
Now we are looking forward to a great concert at the Salvation Army hall in Bangwe tomorrow Sunday at 11:30.
