Ready for the big day

Already we are on day four of our Camp!  

Christian provided a reflective start to the day with a morning devotion on ‘Inner Peace and Peace Through Christ’.  Inner peace stems from the power of our relationship with God, and more specifically our trust in him.  By trusting in God we can experience His peace.

What a great day of fellowship!

Following on from the excellent start we had yesterday, Christian Fuhrer led morning devotions, continuing the camp theme of ‘Peace’. The word peace is a positive term and is mentioned 420 times in the Bible.  There are also 59 brass band pieces with the word peace and 123 Salvation Army songs. Christian said that he often consults his Salvation Army Music Index App for spiritual inspiration: samusicindex.com

The Bandsmen and Songsters continued to practice in preparation for Sunday’s Festival.

Nearly there…

We arrived in Blantyre yesterday, Tuesday, 6 August, and were met by Captain Stanley Phiri, Public Relations Secretary and Peter Kadzuwa, THQ Driver.

Bandsmen and Songsters have started long journeys to Blantyre with many travelling overnight by bus to arrive on Thursday, 8 August! A fantastic number of over 100 are expected to attend the 2019 Malawi Territorial Music Camp with the inspiring theme of ‘Finding Peace’.
